Reports
As a drug and alcohol rehabilitation centre our goal is to provide the best treatment possible for those suffering from addiction. You can read here where we are as an organisation today, the amazing things the government inspectors said about our care, and our grand plans for the future.
Our reports, plans and independent review
As a registered charity and care provider, Brynawel is committed to openness and accountability. Here you can read our Annual Return, our Five-Year Strategic Plan and the latest independent inspection report from Care Inspectorate Wales.
Together, they provide a picture of Brynawel today and our ambitions for the future — from the people we support and the services we provide, to our plans for continued development and the independent assessment of the quality of our care.
5 Year Strategic Plan
Brynawel’s Five-Year Strategic Plan sets out our priorities for 2025–2030, building on almost 50 years of experience in residential rehabilitation. Shaped by consultation with staff, trustees, referrers, residents, families and partners, it focuses on widening access to treatment, developing our services, strengthening evidence and research, and continuing to deliver high-quality, person-centred care.
Care Inspectorate Wales Report on Brynawel 2026
As a registered care provider, Brynawel is inspected by Care Inspectorate Wales (CIW). In our latest inspection, Brynawel was rated "Excellent" in all four areas: Well-being, Care & Support, Environment, and Leadership & Management. Inspectors identified no areas for improvement, while residents described the impact of one-to-one therapy as “life-changing.”
Our Annual Report 2025
Brynawel’s 2024/25 Annual Report provides a detailed overview of our service, staffing, facilities and quality of care. Submitted annually as part of our regulatory responsibilities, it shows that Brynawel supported 80 residents during the year, in addition to our aftercare and families groups. We also maintained a skilled, stable workforce and a strong commitment to involving residents in the development of their care and treatment.

"Miss you all and this place so much, the best thing I ever done xx"
