The programme...

The programme runs for 8 weeks and will consist of a 90 minute group session every weekday evening from 6 - 7.30pm (this time has some flexibility and will be decided with the group).

Once a week you will have a one-to-one therapy session with the course leader where you can explore your recovery journey individually with him.

We also offer two group meditation sessions per week arranged at a time that is most suitable for the participants.

All sessions are conducted via our online secure platform. If you are close geographically we encourage you to come in to Brynawel for your one to one therapy sessions but these can also be done online as needed.

Course content...

Part 1

The course will begin by exploring cocaine itself. Understanding both its physiological effects on our body as well as its psychological effects on our minds. We will also look at its after effects and its relationship to anxiety, depression and craving.

Part 2

This leads into looking at why we use cocaine and developing an individual understanding of why we choose it, despite it's negative consequences in our life.

Through this insight we can begin to identify and address the areas of our lives where we need support.

Part 3

Next you will learn powerful techniques for dealing with difficult situations, ways to address issues in our life such as stress or worry, and new ways of managing painful emotions.

With these new skills and understanding, we will look at how we can live happily going forward, free from the difficulties that cocaine use brings.

Meditation

Throughout the course we will offer two weekly online meditation sessions with Brynawels experienced meditation teacher. Many of our clients have found that learning to meditate has become an important aspect of their recovery journey. It can help to clear the mind and establish a basis of peace within.

After care

For the month after the course finishes there will be weekly group check-ins and you will be offered ongoing one to one therapy sessions to support you on your journey.  You will also have access to our "Brynawel Graduates Meditation Group" where former clients continue their meditation journey with us via online classes.
