Forgotten Voices Family and carer support group

because your voice
deserves to be heard too...

"I'm always really glad that I attend, I know it's really therapeutic and it keeps me strong.

Living with someone who has addiction issues is really, really tough. We should be able to say we are caring for someone and we need help sometimes!"

Brynawel Rehab Admissions Process

While your loved one may be experiencing deep emotional struggles with their dependence, you are too. And you deserve support just as much.

At Brynawel, we recognise the often invisible burden carried by families and carers. That’s why we offer "Forgotten Voices" a confidential, therapist led support group where you have the space to talk, feel, process emotions and ask our experts any questions you may have. It's a non-judgemental space with others who understand you and your struggles.

You don’t need to have any formal connection to Brynawel to join, it’s open to everyone and it's free to attend. The space is open, safe, and held with care. You’ll find others who understand what you’re going through because they’ve been there too.

When someone you love is struggling with substance use, it can feel like your world has been turned upside down. The emotional toll is often immense—worry, helplessness, confusion, and questions that don't seem to have easy answers:

“Am I doing the right thing?”
“Should I be putting up with this behaviour?”
“How can I truly help them?”
The question of "where can I get help for myself?” maybe doesn't even occur! We can help you with all these!
